Going to post my Inktober sketch late tonight, because something amazing is happening right now!! So if you missed out on the first Illustrated Girl Kickstarter, don't worry, we are doing another! We had such an overwhelming response we're basically doing a second printing / new cover variant campaign. This time we have renowned artist Janet K Lee doing a cover for issue two, it's going to be beautiful, she is incredibly skilled. I'll also be doing an oil painting cover, and there will be a chance to pick up issue one with the standard cover if you want a copy of that as well. Plus posters, original artwork and T-shirts! Everyone loves the kid fish shirt, you gotta have a kid fish shirt.

Got two Inktober drawings for today, the bear was done last night, but it was after midnight, so I'm counting it toward today. ;)

Inktober day one!

Tomorrow begins Inktober!! A month long dedication to a drawing a day. Now, every artist should draw everyday, but at least for one month we'll all hold each other accountable. So here's my early start. Ink study of a Raphael Sanzio drawing. 

Dealing with a severe anxiety attack today. One day I'll draw a little educational comic explaining just how that feels, but for now here's some sketches from last night. Got thumbnails done for my graphic novel Drifting and will begin drawing on that soon. Excited about that. :)

And this sketch represents the anxiety monster inside me, it's mainly fueled by irritation from the gnats in our apartment that we can't seem to get rid of. 

Girls Don't Like Dinosaurs

So I did this short comic last year, and wanted to reshare it here. It's an amalgamation of a few of my real life childhood memories. And yes, it's true that the dentist pulled all four of my upper front teeth, so I had that adorable gap for a good year or two.

I can't show you anything I worked on today cuz it would spoil the ending to issue two of Illustrated Girl. But I drew this guy yesterday.
